So we got a blue and a white crawfish, crawdad, crayfish, whatever you want to call it. Last night they were belly to belly with the blue one holding the white one in her claws. Did some research, thought it might be mating habits. Anyone gone through this and what can I expect?

i dont have any experience with breeding them, but the female will develop eggs under her tail held in place by her swimmerets, which will later hatch and remain on her for a little while. as soon as the baby crays leave the mother, they must be seperated if you want much of a survival rate

Yeah I was looking at her tail and couldn't see anything. They'd really only do that if they were mating right?
