Do normal mollies and balloon mollies interbreed?

Hi,

We have a male silver molly, a male dalmatian molly and two female balloon mollies. I know that different colors of mollies will interbreed, but could you please tell me if the normal our males are likely to interbreed with the balloon girls.

Thank you.
Satu

Am I right in thinking that guppy VS mollie works but guppy VS platy does not?

Shetland James, you are correct. Only a Molly and a Guppy can crossbreed although it is very unlikely. A platy and a swordtail can crossbreed also. But not a swordtail and a molly or anything like that's

Yes, you have to have 2 balloon mollies to make another. I have balloon and sailfim crosses and they are the cutest things.
