How long should we have fry in the nursery tank? We have roughly 30 fry platies and guppies.

Either keep them until they are larger than any mouth in the tank you are going to put them in or get yourself another tank ( ie 10 gal or larger) for them to gain size faster. ( This second option is the better option with 30 fry. ) Cramped conditions will reduce growth rate.

Ok thank you I will have to try and move the rest of the adult fish to the 55g community tank

The only thing that sucks about doing that is we still have other pregnant fish. I think they will be delivering soon. What's your thoughts?

We put one of the pregnant females in the nursery, move the rest of the adults to the community tank, and released the fry in the 10g
