I wanna put my molly and guppy fry into my spare tank that i am not using. It is about 75-80 litres. I've only about 30 fry. Would they be okay without a filter? Could i just clean water every week since they produce low anounts of waste in a tank that size.

You would probably need to be doing water changes daily, not weekly, if you are not going to filter the water ( and just aerate it.) Live plants may help keep some of the nitrogenous levels lower but the need for the filter is more for the excess food, leftovers that are not eaten. So while the fish themselves may not make a lot of waste the other things you need to do for them do. I'd suggest a nice cheap sponge filter for your fry. No need to invest a lot of money and you'll have better water quality for them to grow in.

Hope this helps (y)
