It can be anywhere from a few weeks, to months, or not at all. We need some info on your tank really. Have you got a male and female?

I believe I do, when I was at the lfs, we spotted what we believed was a male and female judging by the color of there eye spots. And as soon as she put the net in the water all colors went away. So I dont know, but she said if ones not a male or female, I can exchange it for a new one within two weeks.
