Was wondering the behavior of female guppies when they are about to give brith anyone know

Livebears will square off before giving birth. Both my guppies and platies will pant, go up and down the tank and stay in one place for some time and start it all over. Mine will usually to this in the dark, if I am lucky I'll see her. I find these surprises in the morning, making me late for work

It depends on the guppys normal behavior and personality. If your dominant female is preggers she may chase off other fish, but if your submissive female is preggers she may just hide.
