Came out one morning and there were eggs throughout the tank. They have now come out of the embryo and we have them in 3 rectangular containers under the A|C.
Done a little research and and have been informed that the bigger baby Axolotls will eat the smaller ones. Thinking of buying a heap of screw containers and separating them into individual compartments. Has anyone on here bred Baby Axolotls before? And if so do I need to separated them??

Cheers

I've had that happen before. First, separate the parents! Females can only breed two times a year, at most, or it can kill them. The most aggressive color morph is the Wild Type, which is also the most likely to survive, due to the other color morphs having health issues. Get rid of any losses ASAP! Otherwise they'll cause a cascade of losses. Make sure that you have very clean water, and change it frequently. BBS is your friend! Make sure you have a fan pointing directly at them, and try to keep them between 50-60 degrees. Depending on the size and aggression levels, you can only have 10-20 per 20g tank.
