How do you condition cardinal tetras for breeding?

Have 0 for everything and my tank is cycled. I have 77 degree tempature. They are maybe .75 to 1 inch long. Are they too short? Is the water to cold?

How big is your tank? Are there any tank mates? Any particular purpose for breeding them? Do you know what you'll do with the fry once they hatch?
I'm not sure on how to condition them, but I have read that breeding them is more difficult than most other fishes.

I have a 20 long. I have 4 corydoras, 7 cherry barbs, and one ottocynclus. I want to breed them so i can have more cardinals of course.

That seems like alot of effort. Why no just buy some more??

And its never guaranteed that they will breed and even if they do they might not make it
