How to breed comet goldfish

I have a few comet goldfish so I'd really like to know how to reproduce them. Any tips or basic information on how to breed them would be helpful

It's a good general basics of breeding them. Inability to do some of these things will greatly reduce your chances of a successful spawn. I used to breed them to feed to my Oscars. I can tell you, it is a messy venture and unless you have a place to house hundreds of fry or do it in a pond, it can be a real challenge.

(FYI: The spawning mop referred to in the article can now be purchased pre-made so you don't have to make one yourself if you are not interested in doing so. )
