Is it alright if my tetra just ate a platy fry?

I have had 2 plays for 3 days now and the guy said they may be pregnant cause they're live bearing, though they didn't look it. So I'm sitting here and all of a sudden I see one fry swimming along and then my Phantom tetra who is still really small just goes and eats him! I'm not sure cause they darted behind a rock.

Yeah mine eat my fry all the time :/ just good protein though.
