I'm in need of expert advise.. Is my guppy pregnant or is it dropsy? She refuses to eat. I've isolated her in a separate tank (hospital tank) because she had cotton fin fungus and she got instantly better when I put salt in the water but she looks stressed and uncomfortable. she stays on the top all the time. I’m a newbie on the fish community and I really don’t know what to do. Please help??

From the pictures she really really really really looks like a female betta. She looks like she might be bloated but I can't tell from the pictures... If you could get some close up better quality pictures that would be great!!! If she is not eating she is for sure sick! What is her feeding schedule???

Hi!! I don’t know if it is a guppy. I received three of this fish for my birthday 2 months ago. She eats flakes 2 times a day; but also pellets twice a week. Thank u for your help in advance!!

The fish looks really healthy! Not fat or pregnant. It appears to be a tipe of barb. I would feed a top quality tipe of flakes food which it looks like you are doing because she looks great! Barbs are schooling fish and should be kept in schools of 6-10 in a minimum of a 10 gallon aquarium do keep that in mind! Good luck with her!
