Is there any way to tell the sex of Angelfish?

I got 2 from a friend, I would like to breed them... If possible.

If the fish are less than 6-8 months old or under silver dollar body size, they will be very difficult to tell sexes. There are some subtle physical characteristics that can be seen by a trained eye or once their breeding tubes are exposed they can be sexed.
