How long can I leave my jd fry with the parents in a 75 gallon tank?

IMO when the start free swimming. I used a siphon hose to gently pull them from the main tank. If you wait too long then they can swim too fast to catch and the parents (mainly the dad) will eat them.

I'm on my way to go buy a 20 gallon tank for them

Bought the tank and an air cartridge filter. Then I threw an old filter pad in the tank hopefully it will be cycled before the pups start free swimming
