Hey all I have a couple of kribs and have a rough idea of their breeding habits but would like to clean up my knowledge with someone better experienced. These are my first pair and I have them in their own tank. They ate a pair as I took them from my communal tank with other kribs and these were a pair. They have a cave and have had about a week and half in there, the female disappeared for a few days in the cave only coming out briefly to eat, she also has lost nearly all her colour on her tummy and has started to dig out the cave and around it. I'm wondering if they are at a stage of spawning or if they are just starting or if they aren't doing it yet?? Sorry for the long story.

Yes definitely sounds like spawning behavior. i personally had a pair and the female behavior was about the same. After the eggs were fertilized the female Krib cared for the fry alone.
