Miscarriage?

I was wondering if it is possible for my female marigold swordtail to have had a miscarriage. It looks as though she was pregnant for a while, I noticed a gravid spot, and she was gaining weight. Now it seems as if the spot is turning lighter. Could it be that she is absorbing her fry? Or is she still pregnant? The spot has expanded a bit farther towards her anal fin than her stomach now, so I'm not sure if that means she is still pregnant. I'm still waiting on seeing fry in the tank, I've had her separated for quite a while, anticipating her to give birth!

Sounds interesting, I'd monitor this very closely. Someone on here who breeds and has experience should have an answer for you very shortly.
