Molly breeding question

I have a female silver molly and a dalmation molly that I am hoping is a female...the guy at the pet store told me so, but I am seeing a pointy little anal fin in there. Is it a given that he will breed with the female molly? He's a lot smaller than her...she's probably 50% bigger than him. What do I do if they mate? Don't they eat their babies?

If that fin is pointed and the front end detatched from the body it is a male. They will breed and likely eat all the fry. You may get a stray here and there that will survive.

I find that mollies are not as probe to eat fry unlike guppies or platys. If you have a female and it was in a mixed tank she's probly prego already tbh
