More of my current batch of baby angel fish. They are doing VERY well so far. I hate this first bites stuff though, it stinks to beat the band once it goes in the water. House smells awful.

Looking good zp. At night I leave a small light on above them. Keeps them feeding and grow faster.

Thanks for the tip, I was worried that it would stress them out, bt I suppose a small light would work. Maybe I'll pick one up today. I got 6 Sunset Fire Platys for one of my other tanks last night, very pretty.

How old are they now? You might be able to start them on frozen baby brine or daphnia. I usually just use first bites predominantly for about a week, two tops (that is after they've used up the egg sack. Then when they're eating big baby food (the BBS or daphnia) I use it as a supplement. Feed it twice a day and the frozen foods twice a day.

They are 8 days old today. I'm going to the LFS today I'll see if they have any BBS. Thanks.

My lasted eggs got fungus. I was pretty bummed about that, so I am waiting for more again now.

I put a bit of meth blue in. Stops it spreading to the fertilised eggs.

No. But they will eat small neons etc and do get aggressive ( territorial) during breeding.

That's mine laying again!!! Checking laying patterns since August. 9days between first laying, then 9 again, then 9, then 12, then 9, then 10, then 13, then 11, then 11. Pretty consistent!

Wow, you should 5,000 fish by now. My fry are doing well, if I can get them to live for another week I should be in great shape to have a lot of them survive.

A couple of layings I left for parents who failed to keep safe. Since then i have had limited success but lately I've been doing better with probably a few hundred maturing fry now in fry tanks.

Still have a quite a few of my free swimmers. Hard to tell how many somewhere between 50-100 I think. I just did a full cleaning (water change) of the growing tank. Hopefully I won't have killed too many in the process. It just stank so bad I couldn't leave it be.

Well I've still got 30-50 swimmers. They are big enough now for me to tell what colors they will be. About 1/3 will be striped like Baby was and the rest are going to be black marbled like the parents. Another week or two and I should be able to take them out of the breeding net.
How goes it with all of your babies?

Got bored so I moved the fry out of the breeding net and into the tank. I'll put up some video later after everything settles down. Unfortunately I killed a few getting them transferred.
