New mbuna fry! How long till selling size.

Eggs just got out of the tumbler and are now free swimming. Looking healthy and eating good. There's about 20 of them and I was wandering how long it will take for them to get to a good selling size.

Depends on what you're feeding them. Live bbs and you should be ready to go in 4-6 weeks easily. I do that and after 2-3 wks add crushed high protien flake food.

I'd use spectrum grow or hikari first bites as food

I'm using hikari first bites but not bbs.

Start with NLS fry formula untill they're large enough to wean them up to grow and once there an inch to inch and a half you should be golden.

No problem just be careful not to over feed with the fry formula it is a powder when I get home today ill do a video of a couple different ways I've found out works for different cichlid fry ie wether there willing to come to the surface or not.

Mbunas are mbunas when it comes to feeding. Sry I didn't get to that video yesterday. Been at the hospital all wee with my wife and new baby ill get to it this weekend.
