I put a nylon over my filter so it wouldn't suck up my guppy fry, but it's making a weird noise... Is that okay? The filter is like trying to suck the nylon up.

Andrew do you mind linking what reusable filter bag you are talking about? Thanks

I use a net/mesh material on mine that I found. Works good..just gotta clean it sometimes so it doesn't clog.

Just toss that filter on the tank with the parents the fry won't produce enough waste to make a serious difference as long as you stay reasonable with water changes.

I use cheap panty hose with cable ties,

I make sure the hose is pulled taught enough but not to the point of tearing. Traps a lot of stuff that I used to have to pull out of the impellers. Also keeps my RCS and snails safe.

What do you mean?

If I keep the fry in a breeder, will the filter still be able to suck them up?
