my female guppie is looking way overdue any suggestions on how to speed up the birth

Did you do anything to the tank recently? Like, rearranging decor, move her to a different tank?

You might want to put her back in the community tank. She probably isn't comfortable and is waiting to drop.

I call them death traps... i tried one a few times... killed every fish I put in it. Stressed them out.

Maybe, maybe not? Seems to me that doing what's best for the mother would be a priority. At least thats my opinion. If you're wanting to raise fry, your best bet it to set up another tank just for the fry and move the mother over before she has them, then move her back once she drops.
