Exclamation platy fish pregnancy/ birth

My platy was very pregnant and finally gave birth to 7 fry on March 31st. She stopped birthing and was still very pregnant. I thought maybe she's just fat from eating her babies, but here we are, nearly 2 weeks later, and she is still very pregnant! I'm so confused I'm putting her back in the nursery aquarium, but I'm worried about my fry

Hi, did she get disturbed during birth? Wondering if that may be possible and put her off.

Congrats on the fry. Hope she's doing better now. Sometimes when they get stressed they can hold.

Still holding

She's still holding. She didn't eat the fry thankfully. They are all coexisting in the nursery tank which will remain her home until she decides to drop again.

How do you know when your platy had birthed? I was sure if mine did during the night and she just ate them, I don't see any to the eye so to speak in the tank or plants.

Will she drastically change in size after?
Is there anything to look in the water to say she did and they died or just hiding and I can't see them?
