ok, so my youngest common pleco (its about 7 inches now) has become really really lazy, and has just been staying in one spot, and is quite wide now.

it is noticeably wider than my larger 10 inch pleco, but I cannot find any breeding info on these guys.

I cannot find any pictures, or any other information at all.. I've checked planet catfish, wwm, etc.

so any info would help a lot.

thanks,

thane

I think they are egglayer, but you are right, there is very little info about breeding them. I am not sure that it has been done with any great success. Tank conditions may not have been correct, and may be at that size they are just not mature enought to spawn....

I could be wrong about some of this but it is as much as I know.

I didn't think plecos could breed in a tank....I thought they need a larger setting like a pond or something....he may be sick or bloated or something
