I have a pregnant

Swordtail in a 34 gallon tank and I was wanting to save most of the fry but I don't know how to.

That was one of my options I was thinking about but I don't know when to put her in and I don't won't to stress her out is their any more

Post a pic. We can tell u how Preggo she is, only put her in the trap for 3-5 hours at a time , she will get stressed. Ir you can get a 10 gallon and a sponge filter for her to birth in , that's the best.

You could put alot of floating plants for them to hide in. Or Java moss or dense plants on the bottom. Thats how we have had some survive.

She is in the early stages. I'd say another 2 and a half weeks. She's pretty too!!

I put guppies in breeding traps and had none of them die !

That Dosent mean they weren't stressed.

It is her first time giving birth how many fry is she likely to have

She could have anywhere up to 80 ish. But you may only find two
