Ro water = better hatch rate ?

If i was to use ro water instead of my treated tap water for my angelfish breeding pairs would i achieve a better hatch rate ?

tap water parameters :

ph = 8.5
gh = 16
cant remember the ppm

ro water i now have :

ph = 6.5
gh = 5
ppm = 50-100 ppm

im guessing the ro water would be better allround for my angelfish.

Probably not lol ro water is only important to marine fish and specific delicate fish

Beg to differ, PH and water hardness do have an effect on fish eggs and fertilization. Since the wild ancestors of Angels came from soft acidic water, many types of Angels still have that need to even want to breed as well as the percentage of hatch goes up in this type water. Even tho the fish can live in hard, alkaline water doesn't mean it will breed and breed sucessfully in it. Bottom line, if the spawns don't do well in your tap water, try RO or even bottled spring water and see if there is a difference. That has worked for me in the past.

Untrue. I"m strickly ro/di water in all of my tanks, salt and fresh. my breeding pair is on a regular spawn schedule

Yep, ro water is liquid gold for breeding fish.
