Ruby Barb breeding

I would like to know how I can breed my ruby barbs, I've had them for a while and my female has become bloated which I am guessing is with eggs. My male has definitely noticed she is around because he turns black when he finds a mate, I would just like to know how to breed them as I've never bred an egg layer successfully before
