Separating GBR fry from parents

How developed do the fry or eggs of German blue rams have to be before I can separate them from their parents? Today my pair laid a ton of eggs on an amazon sword leaf in my 55 gallon community tank and I want to get the offspring out of there as soon as possible so they don't get eaten by other fish, but I can't set up an entire new tank just for the rams. Any advice is greatly appreciated concerning how to separate and raise the fry.

Keep them with their parents for awhile until they are starting to grow. Moving newborn fry can kill them.
