I have just seen a video on guppy breeding, and the host had said that once the female has mated with a male, she will continue to birth fry indefinitely, without the need to mate again.

Is this true? if I took the female out and put her into another tank, she would keep giving fry without any males (if I took them out)?

Guppies are livebearers rather than egg layers and as such can store sperm after mating for several months. This can lead to several lots of babies, but its not indefinate.
