My boyfriend wants to start breeding fish again he has two-20 gallons two-30 gallons one-40 gallon and three-50 gallon. Most of those are from when he was breeding fish before. Its been around 4-5 years since he last bred anything so i'm thinking it should be something easy. It'll aslo be feeder fish for the gar he's going to get in the next year and he wants to have the fish astablished and breeding for awhile before he gets the gar. the gar will be in a 500 gallon he has.

Any livebearer will be easy and produced feeders for your gar.

What did he breed before?

Some fish that can possibly be considered as "easy to breed" would be Apistos, Kribs, Convicts, Angels, and many plecos, bristlenose in particular.

I believe he bred guppies and mollies most of the time but everyonce in awhile would do convicts as treats for his gar which loved them.

The reason he's doing this is because the person he gets them from can't get the gars to eat frozen food or anything else unless it's alive.
