Steps to breeding guppies

I want to start breeding guppies but not sure where to start and how to do it. I was thinking a 5.5 gal tank would be good for like 4 guppies 1 male 3 female. I would like a step by step tutorial on what to do plz.

And do guppies lay eggs or live birth?

They are live-bearers, and with alot of plants for the fry to hide, you should have babies in no time. A quick search would provide you with all the answers you need

Add male to females. Watch mate. (Assume if from pet store, all females are pre hit already). Watch bellies grow. Once \__/ shaped, either move to brood box, brood net, or allow to naturally give birth. Enjoy your fry!
