Ok so I have a small school of Tiger Barbs(3) and the two larger of the three are starting to go nose to nose and spin around and I have never seen them act this way. I have also noticed that one is more or less protecting the other from the other fish in the tank.

I was just wonder if I may have a pair of tigers trying to mate and if they are then do they lay eggs or are they live bearing fish?

Just was wondering about it any advice would be nice thanks in advance.

Sounds like two males are blustering for dominance. Tiger barbs are very "bickery" fish. Adding to the school (stocking level permitting) is your best bet. Their aggression can take out weaker fish if not adequately spread out with a proper schoal.
