Tips on breeding JD

Hi I have owned Jack Dempsey Cichlids for a while now and thinking about breeding them any tips or suggestions ? I currently have 1 in a 55 and just cycled a 175 gallon (3 months) for this

Put 6-8 together and once you get 2 to pair up remove the rest. Keep the heat around 80 degrees once you have a pair. I have 100-200 I can't get rid of :-(
