Will rosy red breed in community tank?

Would a shoal of rosy reds be able to breed in a 45 gallon setup with a few small common goldfish?

Most fish that are proven able to breed will breed if conditions are correct, the thing with community tanks is that the other fish will eat the fry

If you want a good chance of breeding and raising fry a species only tank would be best

Thats what I was concerned about the setup contains a lot of hiding spots such as a lot of rock work and pvc pipe cuttings. I was hoping with a large shoal vs a few commons would be alright but these fish are all being moved to a pond this spring. I was hoping they would be able to keep the shoal growing.
