Red face Cichlids dying

I hope someone can help me out there. I had about 20 Cichlids. but not sure why they are slowly 1 by 1 dying. not sure what is going on. the water was change, when fish started to float to the top and die. can anyone recommend a reason why they might be dying. I have only about 8 fishes left
