Pearl City Member-Black Sand from the sandman

Just thought I'd drop in here and say aloha and ask if anyone has used sand from The Sandman over in Mapunapuna. It's a sandblasting co. and I got some black sand from a friend that got it from them and plan to get some more for my 75 gal tank. Just finished the stand for the 75 and now I am trying to collect all the deco for it. Got a current NOVA Extreme T5 2-bulb fixture and a RENA XP3 can filter. Gonna try the RENA brand this time around. Anyways, if anyone's interested, here's my pic link.

I know this post is late, but FYI- I recently got a huge 50# bag of monterey sand from Mr Sandman. They had different grades. It only cost like $26. I heard several local stores buy from them and resell in smaller bags. I rinsed it three times, but it was quite clean from the beginning.

Where did u get your driftwood and slate from? It's so hard to find here in Hawaii w/o paying an arm and leg! Thx!
