Email notification should be default subscription.

I see it way too often where a thread is going on and on with no post from the OP except to start the thread. Then two weeks later they come on and say 'sorry, didn't check or realize I had responses'. New users should have their subscription set to email notification to avoid this, then they can change it if they want to.

This is the forum default. Just because we send a notice doesn't mean we can make them read it, or do anything about it.
