I fixed it for ya... :D When using the quote button, I find it helpful to copy what I want to quote, then hit the quote button, paste the text to the reply box and then hit the quote button again. Or what is easier for me is:
to type it myself....

[ quote="CRaZeeeBiTcHisHeRe"]guess i didn't put the 'quote ' button in the right place, huh? LOL [/quote ]

without the spaces in the [ quote] and [ /quote]

The easiest way to quote the entire reply or just a section I find is to use the quote button on the post you want ot quote. It preformats the quote tags and also add the username.

Hey I told you I was a little anal, err....or did I ? LOL

I "split" the topic since it looked like we was getting off subject.

No biggie as we all tend to get off subject every once in a while. Just did not want to clutter a post with less than helpful advice.

I see you figured out the quote button. :)

Feel free to play with all the other buttons also. The IMG, URL, List, Color, and Font size buttons can be very useful in posts.

:B-fly:

Not to mention the emotcons :)

Testing again- sorry if off subject

I'm testing this out myself- sorry if it's off subject, but what better board to check it out? It's a little new to me- the quoted text is in the same window as the new text as you're typing it so it doesn't SEEM like it's going to appear in a white quote box.

Hmm. It didn't work that time. Indeed, as I suspected, it just appears to be part of my new text. Do you highlight then quote or quote then delete what you don't want?

I think I answered my own question: you highlight then quote.

Another option is to highlight the text you want, right click "copy" and then 'paste' in the in reply section. You can then use the codes just for the quote or, to have the individuals name appear as the subject of the quote.

That method does take the long way around but it does allow you to select a portion of the quote you want without having to remove individual words or smilies if needed.

Oh, in order for you to see the codes without having any quotes, I've disabled the bbc code in this post.
