uploading picture problem

I am recieving this message when I try to upload pictures into my gallery. What do I do to fix it?

Unable to create image [/home/aquarium/public_html/photopost/uploads/5433/Month_3.JPG].
Please contact system administrator.

Try again, but alter that pic in some way, make sure it is not set at a higher resolution that 96ppi and is not longer than 1024 pixels on it's longest axis.
