Thought we could use a thread about all of our new acquisitions, so i'll start it off with my new Apistogramma viejita "red neck". I was told he was a F1 but forgot to ask of the collection point and all that. I'll try to post the pic in the group's gallery

Nice pick up, they're are not very commonly seen apistos.
For me personally my fish room is jammed, so there will be no new acquisitions in my near future.

I saw him and had to have him! Great personality, extremely calm and laid back, unfortunately, they only had two males left :/
But on a separate note, I finally found myself a pair of keyholes! About the size of pennies, but they are awesome! Drove an hour west just to get them! They're acclimating as I type this! Great day in my books!

Literally 6-7 months! I know they aren't the most colorful, but there's just something about them! Although i think you're festae and salvini are pushing me more and more towards the aggressive end of the spectrum

That's funny cause I'm sick of it, I'm enjoying my nice big active new world tank. No deaths or fin nipping or anything!

I think when I'm able to get a much larger tank, that's my exact plan. A
LFS
an hour away has a hoplarchus psittacus I have my eye on, and a different
LFS
has a pair of Uaru and a breeding pair of Rotkiel that I really want

It's nice to see your taste in fish improving weekly...except the rokteils. Now your sounding like 5x5!

The uaru are a special color variant and I can't remember what it was for the life of me, red something, or maybe orange? But they're beautiful! And rotkiel are the only severums that I like to be honest. The hoplarchus psittacusare absolutely stunning, but at $100 for a 6" fish, I may have to hold off on that one haha I just need a bigger tank!
I guess between you, 5x5, and a few local shops, i've been getting exposed to a whole new world of fish that I never even knew existed!
And thanks to 5x5, I've been noticing pikes more and more!

Don't be ashamed of liking the rotkeils. They are the only cool severums. Besides, Hukit loves discus (aka poor man's rotkeils). Lol I know your shaking your head at that one.
Pikes are fascinating fish and have a lot of personality. Once you own one, you'll fully appreciate them.
