I'm just going to ask you here if you don't mind. I posted a question about ammonia in tank water and it slowing down the cycle from finishing as it was making the BB working harder than normal to get rid of it from the fish and from adding it via water changes. I got a long winded answer from a member that didn't answer the end question. So here I am. Do you think it would be of any benefit to get some pure bottled water to use for a few water changes and see if that reduction in ammonia (.50ppm out of the tap) allows the cycle to complete. I did a 50% water change last night, ammonia was .25 this morning and at 5pm (now) it is at 0ppm and Nitrite is at .50ppm. It is seeming to be very close at this point, just wondering if the pure water would help it along vs. tap water with .50ppm ammonia. Thanks again.
