I also wanted the light cause I want the new fish to be acclimated to light for when they are introduced to ST. I had an old light fixture and another small single led light but I didn't like em even tho this is in the office of our home and the door is usually closed so my kid doesn't ruin thousands of dollars in computer equip for my wife's work and my business lol

Thanks it's that cheap marine land LED light fixture I had a credit at my LFS and also a coupon for 15 bucks off. So it ended up costing me 20 bucks for light, ten bucks fir glass top, had the stand already, received the 10 gal tank for free from LFS and got the heater included when I bought my second hand canister filter. Lol so a total of 30 bucks and that's cause I wanted a halfway decent cheap LED light fixture, plus wifey likes this light and i like how long the LEDs last. I also wanted a light on it jic i want to put fish in the tank and use it for something besides a QT/HT lol

Put a couple pix of my new QT/HT up last night under my albums Lol nothing very exciting but I'm happy I have a place to put new additions in before going into ST.

Look up the bristlenose Pleco it is basically a dwarf Pleco only gets to 4-5 inches as an adult and since it is an albino it is yellow instead of brown/black and I can keep it in a 29 gal tank without it stunting or getting to big for the tank.

Other than that stand for 55 is still not painted or stained but will be doing that for sure on Friday and Saturday. That is my only focus for my two days off. I took care of everything else this last weekend so now I can finish the stand and get that 55 up and running. I can't wait.

How was the weekend for ya? I was able to find a Fx5 canister filter for my 55 gallon tank for $100.00 . That Filter is a beast it is for up to 400 gallons lol. It's almost the size of a five gallon bucket. The icing on the cake is the guy had it for less than 8 months just upgraded to a huge DIY sump filter and he also through in two shatterproof 200 & 250 watt heaters for me driving out to him.
Other than that I have turned my 10 gallon tank over to a QT Tank and got a nice little LED light fixture for that for cheap. I will be going on Friday and getting either a pair of rams or an albino bristlenose Pleco. This guy I met that lives about 15 minutes from me breeds a bunch of freshwater fish so that is a nice score. He is gonna give me the Pleco for 3 bucks! Or two rams for 6 bucks! Way better than LFS.

But this is why I'm doing the QT. I wanna make sure the fish are ok and will be ok before going onto the main tanks from now on.

Abe, you have nothing to be sorry about. I was worried about you and I am so glad to hear from you. I would have replied earlier but I was in San Jose visiting family and just now got back. I am so glad to hear from you,
