Hi Brian! I am planning to buy a Finnex Ray 2 for my 20" long 10 gallon aquarium, I really want to be able to grow a dense HC carpet in it as well. From the surface of the water to the substrate it is about 8-10 inches. If I buy the Finnex Ray 2 DS, will I be able to grow high light plants?

Also, is the fixture adjustable? (If I buy the 18", will it fit on my 20" tank)

Where did you get your Aquatek Co2 system? I really want to set one up, but I dont know how... :/

Hey Brian! I just wanted to say that your 6 gallon tank of the month winner was the driving force behind my inspiration to get started in the aquarium hobby. Alot of the ideas I had stemmed from what you wrote about and made me want to pursue this even more. You should check out my tank one of these days and tell me what ya think

It looks like you have a Fluval C2, and if you don't mind I have a few questions.

1-Do you know how high above the rim of the tank the filter goes? I only ask because my 5 gallon tank is in a shelf, so there is limited space above the tank before it hits the next shelf.

2-How quiet is it, because our tank is in the living room, and I don't want to hear it when I'm watching TV.

3-Do you like it?
