Its me again... another question! Have gravel, and am having trouble cleaning the tank. I siphon it, about 8 out of 20 g. I stop and the muck is all over in the tank!! It takes days to clear, and when it clears, it is time to do another cleaning. Does one every get a clean, clear tank? Does one ever clean out the whole tank by taking everything out of it? Thank you David!
Evening David! I have read a lot of your messages to folks. I was reading the one , bettagirl, and her parameters. Would you please correct me if I am wrong? The numbers should read (ideally) : ammon - 0-.25 pH 6.8 - 7.6 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate ?
And the plants should help keep the nitrate down. My main question is -- Where and why does the aquarium salt come in, and why? What damage will it cause the plants?
Please tell me if I bother you. I have a benign brain tumor and things don't come easy sometimes. Please no sympathy!!! It is all under control, and we laugh about it!! But thank you for you help!! Heidi
