    Hi, goatnad,
I'm wondering if you stil have s. repens available, or any other good low-light plants for a non-CO2 tank. I'm especially interested in whether you've ever been able to get a real carpet going with any type of carpet plant without CO2, and if it was green or yellowish under those conditions.

    Your plants look really nice.

    Hello!

I hope I'm not bothering you. I just thought you'd be a good person to message.

I asked the local fish shop to test my water. It looked like they got 0.25-0.5 ammonia (!), 0 nitrites, and 5.0 or 10.0 nitrates (!). They used the API master kit just like the one I have. Honestly, I was talking a lot when the local fish guy was testing my water so I'm not really certain that he even shook the test tubes (?!).

That didn't make sense to me at all since it was so different than what I've been measuring the past 2 weeks. Well, I bought the plants and decided to head to the Chain Fish Store (Petsmart) to compare their test results. They used some paper test sticks which I have read are less accurate. The results, however were 0, 0, 0 across the board. Hmmm....

Let me know your thoughts if and when you have the time, would be very appreciated

    Have a great night!
