OMG so I am new to this forum and I think I just reported you when I was trying to message you with a question! Hopefully since my message in the report is in a polite question form they will understand haha!

Anyway, I saw your post about hard water stains from the other day and I was curious about your extreme method! I have had a hand me down 50g long tank for a few years and we're getting ready to stock it with new fish. I *think* these cloudy spots on the glass lids are hard water stains and I've tried scrubbing, dawn dish soap, and mr clean magic erasers!! I rinse everything very very thoroughly before getting it near the tank again but regardless, nothing has worked. I'm curious to know what you did to remove your water stains. Because the stains are on the glass lid below the light source I'm not worried about appearance, I'm more concerned about the stains distorting or reducing the light sources to the tank.
