Overall it's been working out better than expected and at least as well as the 2 T5s that were on it before. I would only consider getting the 20w light if you are already using pressurized CO2 or you can raise it above the tank to a controllable height. It definitely puts out a LOT of light energy. If you are looking to go with medium light 2 10w floodlights should be all you need. Keep in mind that using these lights is a little experimental. It's hard to say what combination of fixtures is just right for any given tank. I decided to try them out because, even with two floodlights, it was cheaper than buying a new set of T5 light bulbs. Also, because I have the lights in an enclosed hood I mounted a PC fan to keep them cool and prolong their life.

They work well. My tank uses two LED floodlights that I ordered from eBay. One 20w like this that I found for $25.90 and this 10w floodlight. I added the 10 because the driftwood blocks some of the light from reaching the left side of the tank and, since the tank has a hood, I can't raise the 20w fixture high enough to compensate.
