Hi Rivercats-I had to euthanize that old Corey. I'd had her for quite some time and she was really suffering and struggling tonight when I got home. Is the Paraguard okay with my snail? No more questions! I promise!

Sorry guys and gals I'm really bad about reading profile comments so I apologize for not answering anyone. It is better if you have any questions for me to send me a PM and that way I won't miss it! Thanks!

Hi Rivercats-I don't know if you read the "unhealthy fish" forum, but I just posted an entry on there about one of my Blackskirted Tetras. I would be interested in your opinion about the spots on the tail. As I mentioned the bottom fins which were torn off are growing back, so the fish is healthy? No other fish is showing signs of any malady at all.
    Thanks for your help-Denise

    Hey Rivercats,
I just got a grown (male I think) angel from a friend. He was way too big for the 20 gal he was living in, and the tiger barbs have nipped his fins pretty bad. He's a beautiful fish though, and I think he looks like a cross between a koi/marble. Does such a thing exist? I'm not an expert in angels by any stretch of the imagination, so I thought maybe you could help me. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey Rivercats,

I finally have my Nitrates under control using RO. My TDS went from 370 to 165. My GH is now at 4, as is my KH. You know the bulbs I have as they are the ones you kindly advised me to buy. I am dosing Micro and Macro nutrients. The plants are pearling like mad, so hopefully the HC should start to spread?

    Thanks for all your help

Hey Rivercats, I was curious if you have posted your dosing regimen anywhere? I just bought E.I. dosing along with a gallon of Metricide to dose in my 20 gallons which are both somewhat high tech. If not, could you tell me what you dose and when to dose? Your tanks are an inspiration!

Hello Janis, Hope you are doing okay, rain here and setting my pains off in all directions! But the fish tank must be cared for!! The question of the day is: after I clip the wisteria or water sprite, because they are too tall, what do I do with the clippings? If I replace the haggard older plants, how do I ever fill the spots that I want to fill? Last time I tried to rearrange the water sprite, it all died. I am fertilizing as you have instructed me to do. Plants are green and seem happy! Heidi
Also I have the lily from Dan, and somewhere I read or heard that the leafs that reach the top of the tank need to be cut off, or trimmed, you outlook on that please.
