Hi Spoonman, I know you have not posted in a long time so this is a shot in the dark. You posted a picture of a green plate coral in 2016 that had the tissue splitting. I have one doing the exact same thing. Do you remember if yours healed up and lived or did it die? Thanks for your help. My email is hotlicksinc@hotmail.com if you want me to send you a picture of your green plate to refresh your memory.

Well, I jumped the gun and couldn't wait for the weekend! I got all the fish and coral transferred Wednesday night. Thursday afternoon it stormed and we lost power. Just got power restored at 2am this morning (36 hours later). I bought a generator when the power went out and saved everything! If anyone is curious, a 4000 watt generator is plenty to handle a 240 gallon fish tank, a 120 gallon saltwater tank, 2 refrigerators, a stand up freezer, a couple lights and a couple fans. Well, here is the result. Kinda barren, but I will be filling it with mostly SPS in the months to come. Thanks for all of your advise and support!

Heya Spoon ....I was curious if your 110g was custom built or if you found it in a store. I am looking for a larger tank..an upgrade. I found some on craigslist, but some are not offered with a cabinet/base. Any advice? I would like to get a 55g and a 75-150g eventually, but the weight of the larger tanks means a must for aquarium stand/cabinet.

personally, id go bigger, only because its easier to take care of, but whatever floats your boat. based on your cichlid tank, your sw tank will look ffantastic.
