Starting to grow...what should i do???

I recently re-aquascaped. This white growth was on the bottom of the rock. I flipped that over about 4 days ago and it has almost doubled in size.
Also, I upgraded the lighting from an old CF fixture to a new. 4x54 t5 fixture...maybe that is contributing to growth.

Anyway, please help ID this and any suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Sponges,good filter feeders.They are a big help to your system.

Hahahaha yeah I have a lot and I did the same thing took a pic and posted the are pretty fascinating to me
