Something on my zoanthids

I just got some new zoanthids from my lfs and I got them home and saw a small pink thing with kind of clear white strings coming out of it can't really get a pic of it.

Is this regarding your original threads about your zoas?

Tube worm/ spiraloid worm. Harmless filter feeders but if you see an explosion in their population its usually a sign of excess nutrients.

Yes it is regarding the other post.

Google spionid worm, it may be one of them but I can't tell anything from the pic ;)

Beau_123 01-01-2013 05:00 PM

Are they bad.

Dude1982 01-01-2013 07:37 PM

They say they can irritate corals a little if there are loads if them around them, I have loads in my palythoas and they do no harm.
They just feed on left over waste and detritus ;)
