I purchased this coral a week ago and it opened the first 2 days, it hasn't opened since. I have a 55 gal tank with sump and skimmer, aqueon 700 pump with Jaebo rw15.
Ph 8.4
Dk 7
Cal 400
Temp 78.5
I also have a fluval reef light. My test kit for Phosphate and Mag expired so I need new ones.
Livestock is a yellow tang, Tomato Clown, Blood Shrimp a few hermits and turbos, green hairy mushrooms, golden torch and a toadstool mushroom that are all doing well.

Has the leather perked back up? Leathers and other soft corals sometimes do this as they shed a mucus skin they have that protects them.

Ph 8.2
Kh 8
Sal 1.025
Temp 78.9
Cal 400

They can take a while to perk up. When I got mine, it was kind of pissy for a long time and looked just like that. It worried me for a while but I just made sure to give it time and good water parameters and it's still going strong.

Flow on coral seems ok. Looking better today though, seems to be shedding.

Soft coral like this will sometimes shed their 'skin'. When doing this they don't extend polyps and are pretty deflated. It would be common to see this upon being acclimated to a new tank as it adjusts to things. I read somewhere this could be a defense against possible parasites and disease, though unknown if true.
